Practice Areas

1
Estate Planning & Trust Administration
Estate planning includes the preparation of a will or a trust, minimizing of estate taxes, and the use of powers of attorney to address incapacity and facilitate heath care decisions. And very importantly, the funding of assets to your trust.
Trust administration is the activity of managing or passing assets to your beneficiaries based upon the instructions provided in your trust. Triggering events often include death or incapacity of a loved one.

2
Medicaid Planning
Medicaid helps people pay for long term care. It goes beyond Medicare and has additional qualifications for health, income, and asset requirements.
Medicaid planning is complicated and can be Advanced (5 years prior to need) or, as often is the case, for Immediate need. Advice is provided for the spenddown process, application, and if necessary, appeals for denial.

Planning may revolve around an individual qualification or the preservation of assets for a spouse with greater life expectancy.

3
Business Planning
Business planning includes creation, management, and succession planning and strategies for sole proprietorships, partnerships/LLCs, and Corporations.

Special emphasis is given to integration of the business valuation and integration with your estate planning goals and the funding of a business transition to protect and provide for your family in the face of the unexpected.
